the cutest.

If my kids don't look like this I am going to be utterly disappointed.  "God, is he cute or what?!" -- Grandma, I can still hear her saying it! :)

happy birthday gregory!

My 'little' brother turned 20 yesterday which I find utterly depressing.  I have always said that he stopped aging at 7 because that's the age I prefer to remember him as.  He had white hair cut in the typical 'bowl cut' of the 90's and the sweetest little voice.  If I think about Greg being 20 years old too much I'll cry because I absolutely HATE that we are all getting older and I would much prefer for Greg to be 7 again, me to be 12, and for us to be building our Lego houses/cars/trucks or playing with his matchbox cars in the basement.  One day I'll come to the realization that he is older and I can't do anything about it...but it probably won't be until his wedding day...when he marries a girl that I approve of, of course!  Love you, Greg!!

There were two other people doggies that celebrated Greg's birthday with us yesterday...

Honey Bear!! hahaha she looks SO happy to be with Greg on his birthday!!

I tried to get a picture of mom with both dogs...but Honey was hidden behind our horse.  You can see her little legs!

Honey is juuuust short enough to walk under Bauer and she knows it.  However, shes a little too tall so Bauer's back legs are lifted up off the ground.  It's pretty hysterical - I tried to get a picture, but they were moving so fast!

Like an idiot I thought I could get a picture of them together...not gonna happen.  I took so many pictures and kept saying 'Bauer', 'Honey', 'Bauer!', 'Honey!' and Bauer started to think he was in trouble so he started slouching lower and lower..what a goob.

Bauer looks like an old man next to the young and spry Honey!!  Bauer will be 3 this year...I can't believe it. :(

"Ummm..excuse me, but how old did you say I was?!"

Bauer giving Greg a little birthday love.

Bauer feels like he can get his point across much better if he smashes his face against yours.

Don't ask...

For the record:  If you are uncomfortable with an 80 lb black Labrador Retriever on your lap you probably should not come over to our house.

Happy *belated* Birthday Gregggg!!

waiting...

The Serenity Prayer

God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
that I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next...

Amen.

...needed a little reminder today.

list of favorites.

Emily tried to claim she is a better blogger than me.  She sucks.

But, now I feel like I have to prove myself and since she loves LISTS so much I think I will beat her at her own game...

A list of my favorites:

Dessert
I think my post last week made it clear what my favorite dessert is right now...M&M McFlurry!  I've already had one this week.  They never get old...ever.

Prime time TV Show
This is a hard one...but at this very moment I would have to say...

Modern Family

This is a show that both Chris and I enjoy watching, which is pretty rare, so it is definitely a winner.  :)

Talk Show
Another hard one...I love The View, but this one will always, ALWAYS, go to...

Oprahhhh

Reality Show
Ok...this is the last TV category...I promise!  Oprah takes the cake again on this one with her new Season 25 show on the OWN network.  This show is like an answer to my prayers.  Chris likes to watch this one too, although he would probably never admit it ;)

Ok, now that my mom is about to puke (she hates Oprah) let's move on!

Dog Breed
This is going to be a big surprise to all of you......poodle!!!

Just kidding.  Bauer would be offended if he wasn't sleeping on my lap right now.  The answer is Labrador Retriever!  I would have to say that I have always been more partial to the yellow labs, but Chris wanted a black, male lab.  Well, you can tell who one that argument ;)

Commercial
I usually mute commercials because I hate HATE when they come on and are super loud.  I have very sensitive hearing...ask anyone has watched tv with me!  Anyway, my favorite commercial is for the USPS and it makes me giggle every time.

Watch the commercial here!

Dinner
I made a new recipe from the Pioneer Woman last week and I just finished up the sauce today.  I ate it constantly.  The recipe makes a huge amount and Chris refused to try it (which would be why I very rarely try new recipes) so it lasted a while in the fridge!!

Get the recipe here!

Thing about 2011...
At this very moment in time (10 PM, 1/1/11)...Kylie Michelle and Baby Fleisher.  I can't believe my best friend and sister are both having babies this year!  It is sooooo exciting!!  Hopefully this year will bring more good things to come...*

*I feel like I, again, need to let you all know that this is NOT a hint that I will be getting pregnant this year.  This is NOT the plan.  :)

So, that's all for today.  Hopefully I will have more to post tomorrow!

Toodles.

kylie's day.

This weekend was Kylie's (and Megan's, I suppose) baby shower!  It was a lot of fun and it's always fun seeing all the tiny clothes. ;) I'm so excited to have 2 babies to play with this year.  Kylie is going to be here very soon - Megan is due February 16th!

Candice and my MASTERPIECE!!

 The loot...

She will obviously be a Redskins' fan!

Kylie's first piggy bank.

High chair from Mrs. Hutton and Candice.

There is nothing better than tiny clothing.

I am so excited to meet little Kylie girl!  She is one lucky girl already :)

obsession.

There are two things that I am obsessed with right now.  Unfortunately, both happen to be food...story of my life.

...don't judge me.

The first is the spicy chicken sandwich from Chick-Fil-A.  Oh my God.  It is sooo good!  Their ranch happens to be phenomenal too.

I could eat this at least....3 times a week. Yummmmmmmmmm.

The second is the M&M McFlurry at McDonalds.  I know these aren't new, but for some reason since about August I have been literally addicted to them.  The McDonalds ice cream is sooo good, and the mini M&M's?  De.li.cious.

Hello, beautiful...

So, there.  I'm obsessed with two fast food items and I am NOT pregnant, so please do not take this post as a hint.  I'll let Megan and Emily enjoy the pregnancy/motherhood gig for a while!  If you are ever at a loss for a gift for me, feel free to give me a gift card to McDonalds or Chick-Fil-A.  I will not be offended.

toodles :)

p.s. school starts next week...YIKES!

1.01.2011

an italian christmas.

This post is a little late because Chris and I got a new computer from Mom and Dad for Christmas and we needed to get editing software loaded onto it before I could download pictures!

Our new {MUCH NEEDED} laptop.

As I mentioned before, we always get together with my Mom's side of the family for Christmas Eve.  This year was no different and it was SO much fun!  I actually remembered my camera and took quite a few pics.

Now, I'm a fan of fat Christmas trees, but this one...is morbidly obese.

It was huuuge!

The impossible 'Minute To Win It' game!

 followed up by the easy one...

We then all made guesses for Emily and Mark's baby. One of the categories was 'name suggestions' to which they received 'Frank', 'Asturd', and 'Kareem'.  We're so helpful.

Lots and lots of pasta!

New brother-in-laws!

Andy, our adopted family member (Sara's brother)

The leader of the pack.

 So excited about his new tea pot!

Why did Auntie Sue get him a tea pot you ask?
...because that is what he asked for!

C-A-P-S CAPS CAPS CAPS!

With the Demeria family originating in the North (Minnesota & Wisconsin) we are pretty big hockey people, with two of the cousins (Joey and Nicky) playing hockey in college.

Another successful Christmas Eve :) Now, we can move into 2011 which will be a busy, yet wonderful year!
