week 8.

I am on week 8 of 12.  Wow, this has been such a whirlwind.  I'm getting to the point where I'd like to say, "Ok, that was fun, but I'm done now!" I wish it was that easy!  I was really looking forward to the teacher work day, but of course it snowed last night and it was cancelled!  Needless to say, I feel suuuper unprepared for this week.  Ahh!!  Looks like I'll be winging it a bit...

Anyway, enough about student teaching!  I am finally posting about.............Christmas.  Oh, how I long for my life back.  Anyway, I'll let the pictures do most of the talking.

p.s. 95% of all my pictures are of my a.d.o.r.a.b.l.e. niece!

hello? anyone out there?

So, I'm fully aware that my 5 followers have probably deleted my blog by now.  Oops...

Well, you can't say that I didn't warn you!  I knew that student teaching would pretty much consume my life and boy was I right.  I have been working about 40 hours at school and then an additional 22-24 hours a week at my PAID job.  Oh.  Em.  Gee.  I thought I knew what tired felt like, but now I really know.  I do think this is good preparation for having a baby, though!  (That's a silver lining. They help to keep my sanity.)  I am starting my 6th week out of 12 weeks and am feeling pretty good!  The public school germies finally got the best of me late last week and I'm fighting a terrible cold, but overall the first five weeks have been amazing!  I love my school, have a wonderful teacher, and a great class.  My first of four observations by my college advisor was last week and I did very well. :)

Unfortunately, student teaching is NOT going to be the last leg of my journey to my teaching license.  Turns out I have to take a world history class, so I am enrolled in an online course through NOVA that will run from March 12 to May 7.  But, that will be a cinch after taking a minimum of 9 credits since last January!

It's been a long long L      O         N           G journey, but it will soon come to a close and I can't wait!  I feel like I've been so disconnected from my life the past year during this process and I can't wait to get back to reality and enjoy this time in my life!

Anyway, I just thought I'd pop in and update a bit.  I'm still here and still alive.  7 weeks left! :)

I'll update about my class soon!

Toodles.
