A few weeks ago Candice came to visit for the weekend and brought her little buddy, Oliver to visit with my little big man, Bauer!  I was a little nervous to see how they would interact, but they got along famously!  Oliver is pretty low key like Bauer so they played a bit, but mostly just looked at each other.

It's no secret that overall I'm not a big science fan.  I had to teach my students about matter during student teaching and I completely relied on my teacher's material for this one.  Sorry, but liquids, solids, and gases just do NOT get me excited. 

However, I have always had a deep love and interest for life science (7th grade - woop, woop!).  I am completely fascinated by the lives of animals and plants in the wild.  So, naturally a few years ago when the Planet Earth series was shown I was hooked.  Chris had just purchased his HD tv so I had him record every episode and we would watch them together in his room at his mom's house.  How romantic....hahahaha good Lord.  Anywho, I digress...SO I love life science, LOVED the Planet Earth series (I even have the DVD's!), and now I am looooooooving the new Frozen Planet series.

This. series. is. i.n.c.r.e.d.i.b.l.e.  It is absolutely amazing the pictures and clips that they capture.  I usually have to cover my eyes for 20% of each episode because I don't like to watch the hunting part.  Why do they have to go after the babies?! And, WHY does every animal seem so much cuter when it's being hunted?  (The mean whales above hunt cute little penguins and seals...jerks!!)  But, the shows are still spectacular and I highly recommend them!  They are on Sundays on the Discovery Channel at 8 PM.  DO IT.

Well, shooting a 9 month old, very active little girl is not very easy!  Lucy loves to laugh, clap, and MOVE! We got a few good photos out of her, but we also had many that ended up as bloopers.  Enjoy my adorableee niece!

I can't believe we are old enough now that my dad is a grandpa.  I'm not sure I will ever get used to this.  But, nevertheless I love to see Lucy with her grandpa.  Dad has the ability to make any baby laugh, but especially Lucy girl!

week 8.

I am on week 8 of 12.  Wow, this has been such a whirlwind.  I'm getting to the point where I'd like to say, "Ok, that was fun, but I'm done now!" I wish it was that easy!  I was really looking forward to the teacher work day, but of course it snowed last night and it was cancelled!  Needless to say, I feel suuuper unprepared for this week.  Ahh!!  Looks like I'll be winging it a bit...

Anyway, enough about student teaching!  I am finally posting about.............Christmas.  Oh, how I long for my life back.  Anyway, I'll let the pictures do most of the talking.
