I will remember you forever.

Today was my last day spending time with a 1st grade class for one of my courses I am taking this semester.  I have really enjoyed my time with this class and it has totally affirmed that I have made the right decision in changing careers!  The teacher and the class were great and although working full time, taking 3 classes, AND spending 40 hours in the classroom was taking its toll on me, I am really going to miss them!  All of the students in the class made me cards and they presented them to me today.  I almost got choked up - they were all so cute!  They each gave me a hug and I was on my way with my 21 cards! :)

Savannah wrote in her card and Brady told me right before I left..."I will remember you forever".  I could have just wept when he said that to me in his tiny little adorable 1st grade voice.  Who am I kidding?  I could go into the ugly cry right now just thinking about it!

Savannah - reminds me of my cousin, Anna. She is the sweetest most adorable little girl you will ever meet.  And, she always wears a big flower in her hair, which I love!

 Brady - my favorite!! (shhhhh)

All of my beautiful cards! Teachers may be underpaid and overworked, but you can't deny how awesome it feels to get these cards from the kids.  I was only with them for 5 weeks and I felt more appreciation and love from them than I have my entire career of working.

OH, and I have officially started purchasing things for when I'm a full time teacher.  I got 444 Easter stickers for $2 at Target!  I couldn't hold back any longer!

TEACHING ROCKS!
